Skins...
"A win, is a win, is a win"
We need to do the following things to be successful, from here on out:
- GET HEALTHY
- Better conversion rates in the Red Zone
- Make our field goals, when we attempt them
- Lets try Jason Taylor in the Red Zone.
- Dont fumble the ball when the game is on the line
- RIDE CLINTON PORTIS, until his limbs fall off
- PROTECT JC!
Do these, and the Skins might finish with something like a 10-6, maybe even an 11-5 record.
Oh, one other thing...
STAY HORNY FOR ZORNY

So Long Eddie!
Where Do I Begin?
- I hate that place! Didn't like it before I went, didn't like it after I left.
- We had a waitress who was as a dumb as a rock!
- What are you suppose to order there? What is the go-to? The menu is so immense, and so diverse, that it makes life more difficult than enjoyable!
- The topic of the show "Arrested Development" came up, and I made a comment about the band! I liked them!
- I even owned this album!
- A GAME OF HORSESHOES!!!
- OK! OK ! OK! OK! OK! OK!
- Oh My GOD!
- $hit! $hit! $hit!
Finally, the wife's lease on the "family car" is ending, and I do not even know where to begin!
- Buy out the lease on the current car (which we like)
- Lease or Buy a new car???
- What options do we want vs. need???

Morons...
you should be flying with the luggage in the cargo hold, if it saves the company money!
Be smarter than that!

Great To See...
Sometimes worse things happen, such as when they sign an incorrect scorecard, they are DQed from that one tournament.
That said, we often find ourselves fans of players, based not only on their play, but how they interact with fans, the media, and overall attitude on the course. Given the large fields in the PGA (I believe the number is usually 152 except for limited fields, or invitationals), players often get lost in the shuffle.
The link below tells a pretty incredible story, that despite what JP Hayes says, I do not believe a lot of guys would make this same call, especially when we are talking not 1 tournament, but basically your career:

JP...you earned a fan in me! Good Luck, and I hope you get your PGA card back soon!

The Big 3
There seems to be a consensus that in the Long-term, the automakers are going to come out of this economic down-turn in 2010-2011.
The Republicans believe it is better to let them file for bankruptcy, restructure, and come out stronger and leaner on the upside.
I believe there are to many jobs at stake, and this industry has to large of an impact on the US and Global economies to let them fail.
Give them the money, and they will pay it back...
Worst case scenario, they start building cars that look like this:

Disappointing all the way around.

The Victory Plate
Now, I think I made it abundantly clear, where I stand on the political spectrum, but regardless of who won, is this not the most asinine thing you have ever seen???
http://www.victoryplate.com/
Here are my issues:
- Who wants this in their home??? The TV commercial shows it on someone's fireplace mantle, or just hanging on the wall. Would you really want to see the face of Barack Obama (or any major policitican) everytime you come home from a long day of work
- What if this guy is a complete disaster as a President?
- As this thing only has a limited casting...people are limited to purchasing only 2 plates...WHAT? Who would want more than 1...if any!!!
Personally...I would rather see a picture of this guy...but that is just me!

Who is Next???
Given we know, barring something strange happening, who the Democrat is that will run for President in 2012, who is going to step up from the GOP???
Maybe it will be someone like Obama, who comes from no-where to win...
Does Vegas have a line on stuff like this?

2. I kind of hope the Wizards go 0-82. They suck!

Olie The Goalie
I was happy to see the Caps fans last night welcome back one of the, if not THE LONGEST, tenured Washington Professional Sports Athlete ever.
I was sorry to see how things ended last year, but it was the right thing to do for both parties.
Great game by the Caps and Brent Johnson. He deserves to be the #1 right now, as Jose Theodore has not met any of the expectations that were laid on him. This was evident from the 1st goal of the 1st game.
Keep it up Caps, and hold your head high Olie...you have a lot to be proud of!
The Obamas
The link below from CNN, almost makes it sound like a party atmosphere, and that our new President-Elect, is living up to John McCain's moniker as a "Celebrity."

I will be interested in where they send the kids to school, for the following reasons:
- With the kids currently going to Private School in Illinois, I have no reason to believe they will change.
- Would you really want to send your children to DC Public Schools. I can think of smarter ideas
- The options listed in the CNN article are certainly intriguing, however, I do not see Maret and GDS as viable candidates, other than the fact both are located in the District with some proximity to the WH. Sidwell, certainly is, based on Chelsea & AG III. I think the article failed to mention NCS, which took the Gore daughters, and the sneaky candidate The Potomac School.
Time will tell!

Boxing vs. MMA
Then, with all the corruption in the sport, people, I feel, just gave up.
Just for fun, I recently watched on Showtime or HBO a Middleweight Championship Boxing Fight. It was horrible. I felt like I wasted 2 hours to see about 6 punches land! Never Again!
Along came MMA. Not only were the fights much more often, you got to see real action, as opposed to the 12 Round "Dancing With The Stars" that boxing had become.
I dont follow MMA in anyway (i.e. I only know a few guys by name), but if you are in the mood to see someone bloodied, knocked unconscious, or twisted in ways the human body are not suppose to, MMA is for you!

MD Slots
I love Vegas, and am a big fan of A.C. (but not as much as Vegas).
Maryland passed Question 2 on Tuesday, which I believe will allow "Video Lottery" to be played at 5 locations around the State. Living in Virginia, I do not believe I am going to hop in my car anytime soon so that I can go play slots, but am hopeful that the "legalization" of gambling, which seems to be spreading throughout the country will start to make its way to the Old Dominion. Who knows what comes after slots...table games? poker? something else?
I am not sure we will see it in my lifetime, but it is certainly exciting to think that I could save myself from the 4 hour trips to the Southern tip of NJ or hopping a plane to the desert!

Getting A Haircut
- To quote a famous man: "Haircuts are like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get!"
- I get my haircut at Hair Cuttery (maybe that is an issue all by itself), by a woman named Dee. Dee is Asian, and like all the other employees, barely speaks English. I usually just smile, nod my head, and hope for the best!
- I like Soft Rock as much as the next guy. I like ColdPlay and Dave Matthews, and groups like it, but you can never hear it because they always have the buzzers going, people coming in and out, telephones ringing. Why have it on and tease me
- OLD WOMEN: They go to Hair Cuttery, call it the salon, and come out with big poofy hair full of enough spray to open a massive hole in the Ozone
- Paying $16 dollars plus tip for the same haircut I have been getting for the last 25 years of my life. It never cost that much before, and dont tell me because the price of Scissors have gone up.
Am I wrong?
Wednesday After The Election
It is now about 8am, and I do not know who has won. I think I know, which is why I have not turned on the TV and/or checked the web.
I cannot believe I am going to have to turn on the TV for the next 4, or even worse, the next 8 years and see this guy raising my taxes, ruining what progress we have made in Iraq and Afghanistan, and "fixing" healthcare.
I know I am not giving him a chance, but it hard to believe that he will not get what he wants with as powerful of a Senate and House as he is going to have.
I only hope that we have another year like '94, when 2 years into the Clinton Presidency, the House did a 180, based on the "Contract With America"
'Skins vs. Steelers
The Good:
- Not a whole lot...Shaun Shuisham looked good in the first quarter
- Demetric Evans continues to play at a high level
The Bad:
- Carlos Rogers. CATCH THE F'ING BALL!
- Rocky McIntosh. Had not left your feet, that 50 yard bomb from Leftwich to Washington never gets there
The Ugly:
- People are getting off the "Horny for Zorny" train. His play calling was ATROCIOUS
- The Offensive Line was non-existent
- The blocked punt. I do not put this on Plackemeir. I am not sure where the guys who were suppose to be blocking were.
Well, we get some well needed rest, and we need to play well on the backside to keep this thing going. Must Wins are going to have to come on the road at SF, SEA, and Balti.
Bring on the Boys. I know we can beat them with Tony Romo, we have proven that. I would just rather play them with Brad Johnson or Brooks Bollinger.
Heal Up Fella, and dont get arrested (i.e. if Smoot invites you on a party boat, take a pass!)

Random Thoughts...
2. Big one for the Skins tonight. I just looked up the line and was not the least surprised to see the Skins by 2.5. This is Vegas' way of saying...stay the hell away from this game, as anything can happen. Given the new kid, I gave my tickets up, but dont believe for one second, he will not be sitting on my lap watching this throwdown.
3. Side note on the Skins. Next weeks bye week cannot come soon enough. The skins seem banged up, and in need of some rest, especially with the pending game against the 'Boys that just might knock them out of the playoffs in week 11.
Stay tuned for tomorrow's "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly"
